For those of you that have been reading this blog since it started you'll know that I resigned on the 20th December with the aim of earning a million dollars within 12 months. Last week I considered spending the year freelancing instead, I have some great clients, made over double my normal monthly salary and worked on some projects I'm really proud of. I've come to my senses now, and as a way of keeping myself on track each month I will report my monthly earnings.

... A right pain in the ass!

I hate listening to people complain as most of the time there is a simple solution to what they are complaining about, and it frustrates me to know they either cant see it or they dont want to. Some people just like to play the victim. But today, I feel the need to rant, I'll let you judge if its justified or not! Brace yourselves!

Don't worry this isn't a post about how I did an aerobics class without a sports bra, I'll spare you the details of that little episode, I'm sure you'd rather here about the bounce rate of LoveGirls.co.uk anyway! For those who don't know what a bounce rate is, it's when a visitor on your site only visits 1 page in a given session, a bounce can be caused by:

* Closing the browser / tab or typing in a new URL
* Clicking the Back button and leaving your site
* A session timeout, where no actions are taken after set time period (usually 30 minutes)

There are quite a lot of things in my life that I need to detach myself from, the less things that preoccupy my time, the more room there will be for making the dream a reality. I've decided it's not just my job I need to sacrifice if I want to make things work, so here's a list of things I plan to give up.

Mates - I know it sounds bad, but I have far too many people in my life I class as mates, not friends, not people I trust, not people I would confide in, just mates. So many of them are exhausting, sucking up time with their emotional problems or always have something negative to say. This year I need people around me with a can-do, anything’s possible, enthusiastic attitude. I plan to work really hard, to do just about anything it takes, so it's only fair that any spare time I have is spent with those closest to me.

Entrecard is continuing to grow, my experiences with it have been only positive, I've chatted to some great people so far and look forward to seeing how the monetize the site in the coming months. The community has really started to blossem, I'm not a huge fan of Meme's, infact I cringe when I get sent them, after being tagged 5 times by other users I felt obliged to take part, so here is a list of my "Top 10 Droppers" :)

So what are you asking Santa for? iPhone? Mac Pro? Not me! Here is what I want for Christmas ...

The traffic on LoveGirls is consistent; at least 1000 unique visitors go to the site every day. Although it gets good traffic and page views it appears that not many of the users have the Alexa toolbar installed. It's currently ranked at around the 130,000 mark, I know the Alexa Ranking isn't an accurate measurement of traffic, but for marketing purposes I would like the site to sit above 100,000 for the 3 month average.

I had a page on Internet Dreamer stumbled last week and it brought in a good amount of traffic and a large Alexa spike, it made me wonder how easy it is to get on the front page of Digg with a picture and how much traffic it would pull into the site. So, today I added this picture, crossed my fingers, and harassed a few friends.

This morning I handed in my resignation letter, sorry to disappoint but not the one I wrote here, it was a very professional, polite one. Something which I regretted the moment they told me they wouldn't waiver my 3 months notice. I have to go in work tomorrow for a meeting with one of the managers, it seems if you're mentally stable and have no grievances then they don't mind you being in the office after you've resigned.

Unfortunately I have big plans for the next 3 months so I'm unable to work the notice period, something my project manager couldn't quite grasp. I know it will come across as unprofessional to walk out without giving notice, but I really feel it's the right thing to do. I don’t have many options, it looks like it will be down to:
